What We DON'T Collect

NoJunkMe does not collect or permanently store any of the following:

• Your meal scan history or health data
• Location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Any other personal information

Image Processing

NoJunkMe requires camera access to photograph your meals for analysis. When you scan a meal:

• Images are temporarily transmitted to our cloud service for AI analysis
• Images are sent to our Cloudflare Workers backend over encrypted HTTPS connections
• Our backend uses OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API to analyze meal ingredients
• Images are NOT stored or saved on our servers
• Images are NOT stored or saved by OpenAI
• Processing completes within seconds and images are immediately discarded

Data Transmitted to Cloud Service

When you scan a meal, the following data is transmitted:

• Photo of your meal (JPEG, base64 encoded, compressed to max 1024px)
• Your follow-up question answers (text only, used to refine the analysis)
• No personal information, location, or identifiable data

Scan Limits

Free users are limited to 3 scans per day. This limit is tracked locally on your device using a date-based counter. No server-side tracking is used for free tier scan counting.

Data Storage

Local Storage

Your meal scan history, health scores, and analysis results are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data:

• Stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers
• Remains private and under your control
• Can be deleted at any time through the app's Settings or by deleting the app

Third-Party Services

NoJunkMe uses the following third-party services for core functionality:

Cloudflare Workers (Backend Infrastructure)

• Processes meal analysis requests
• Does NOT store images or personal data

Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchases)

• Handles all payment processing for Premium subscriptions

Services We DON'T Use

NoJunkMe does NOT use:

• Analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media integrations
• Crash reporting services
• Tracking or profiling services

Children's Privacy

NoJunkMe does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. While images are temporarily transmitted for analysis, no personal information is collected or stored, making it safe for users of all ages.

Your Rights

Since we don't permanently collect or store your personal data, there's nothing for us to:

• Access or review
• Modify or correct
• Delete or erase
• Export or port

Your scan history stays on your device and you have complete control over it. To delete all NoJunkMe data, use the "Clear all data" option in Settings or simply delete the app from your device.

Security

We take security seriously to protect your data during transmission:

• Encrypted transmission: All images sent to our cloud service use HTTPS encryption
• No permanent storage: Images are immediately discarded after analysis
• Image compression: Photos are compressed to max 1024px and JPEG quality 0.7 before transmission
• iOS security: Your scan history benefits from iOS sandboxing, device encryption, and Face ID/Touch ID protection

NoJunkMe uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI GPT-4o) to analyze meal photos and provide health assessments. Results are generated by AI and are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical or nutritional advice. Results may vary based on image quality and AI interpretation. Always consult a healthcare professional for dietary guidance.
